I don’t think you could pick a venue with much more history than the Cambridge Union Society for a wedding. It was founded in 1815 and is the oldest continually operating debating society in the world. It has had some of the most illustrious guests in the world from Winston Churchill to the Dalai Lama to Clint Eastwood and is a very beautiful building. When Carrie and Steve showed me around I was very excited about their wedding and it didn’t disappoint. It was a very laid back affair full of fun and laughter. It was the first wedding where I have seen afternoon tea as the main meal (my favourite!) and definitely the first where I have seen a quiz as part of the schedule!
