The Sands, Turks & Caicos Wedding – Kim & Michael

I can’t believe it has been six years since I drove from London to Mongolia on a crazy adventure called the Mongol Rally. This is where I met the groom Michael and life has flown by since then. Michael moved from Australia to San Francisco, met Kim and then moved to New York. They had a little boy together. Then about six months ago, I got an email from Michael asking if I wanted to fly out to Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean to photograph their wedding –  that question was obviously a no-brainer!

And so just over a week ago my plane landed on the small island of Providenciales. The wedding was a simple but very beautiful affair. Sixty something guests, a perfect beach and a gorgeous hotel for a backdrop. They really did make my life easy and the whole day was a massive pleasure to photograph. Celebrations kicked off the night before the wedding at a pretty little bar in town called The Landing. Here’s a few shots from that first night, before we get into the wedding.

We even went out at sunset the next day to take a few more shots. We were treated to a some beautiful light.
