David and I got chatting on Facebook through a wedding photography group a couple of years back. David is a great photographer (you can check out his work here) and I was very flattered when he asked me about the possibility of shooting his wedding a year later. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance, feeling a little nervous but with a lot of enthusiasm. I flew Will Stedman over with me (and I owe him huge thanks for the awesome job he did for me) and we decided to turn the trip into a holiday, visiting California and Yosemite the week before. I was touched by the generosity and kindness of Megan, David and the whole wedding party. They made us feel part of not just the day, but the whole event, inviting us to socials and welcoming us like one of the family. The wedding itself was epic. We had a mammoth 4 hour photo session before the ceremony (this is my kind of wedding!) so there are a few more photos than normal. The whole wedding party were ridiculously photogenic, and have made it very hard work to choose the photos for this post! Don’t miss the last photos 103 floors up the Sears Tower.
